Shannon Sullivan, Blog Editor
Shannon first volunteered for Amazon CARES in 2011, when she attended one of the infamous "Vets Abroad" trips to the Amazon! She works as a veterinary technician in North Idaho and plans to attend veterinary school. As a student of sociology and bioethics, her studies have focused on the relationships between society and animals, as well as animal welfare. She is an avid reader, baker, self-proclaimed Star Trek geek, and loves being outdoors, especially when backpacking in the beautiful Inland Northwest. Working in veterinary medicine, Shannon has spent the last decade rescuing and fostering countless critters. Her four-legged family includes seven cats, one dog, three rats, a guinea pig, and a bearded dragon.
Dawn Christenson, CommunicationsAmazon CARES is extremely grateful to Dawn who has volunteered for years to make sure our donors receive personalized Thank You notes. She is a dedicated volunteer at the Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin (GRRoW). Here she is with her dog, Trixie, hiking at Horicon Marsh in Wisconsin.
Amazon CARES would not be where we are today without the significant contributions of other US based volunteers such as Brandi Poole, Sarah Razmandi, Ana Garcia, Charles Franklin, Jeanette Harper, Gary Logan, Steve Schenck, Margaret Cook and the incomparable Linda Schwefel.
